City and trade: The Pedestrian (II)
A poorly preserved old town, full of dilapidated buildings, and too interventionist policy, it prevents the interventions made in buildings that have enhanced their value, forcing preserve and maintain the appearance of the streets, just because they are old, does not help nothing to the development, drive away investors, and even if you pedestrianise, no one walks at home with walls in danger of collapse.
On the other side so that a pedestrian street work must be accessible, either through proper public transportation, or is possible to park relatively close (better if free), and that requires further study. Pedestrianise a street should not be left alone to change the pavement.
In conclusion, if you’re thinking about the location of your small business, do not be blinded by the new pedestrian street, with its trees and benches, analyzing the environment, simply walking around the area and if this new road you think is most attractive than the surrounding, you have not had trouble accessing, and does not pose too many problems with access to your suppliers, (interestingly, this pedestrian street is open to carriers at least several hours), then it may be a good place to introduce your business.
